Why Do You Want to Lose Weight?

It seems like a simple question, but have you REALLY thought about the reason why you want to lose weight?

Are you tired of being teased or ignored?
Do you want to fit into a skinnier size of clothing?
Do you want to look like someone you saw on TV?
Do you want to feel healthier in general?
Do you want to please someone in your life who prefers you thin?

It's really important that you sit down and be honest with yourself about why you wanna lose weight - BEFORE you decide on HOW you're going to lose the weight. Maybe you've never really thought about it deeply before, but now is the time to do this.

A majority of people who start on a diet will fail. Why?

I think it's because they have unrealistic expectations of what a diet can do for them. Sure, you can follow any diet for a couple of weeks, but what happens when you get tired of eating soup and salad five days a week?

That's when your inner motivation for losing weight kicks in and keeps you going. But what if you're not that serious about your reasons why you want to lose weight. What if it's only superficial?

You'll probably fail, like all those other people.
